Brother Ahmed Deedat does it again, with his thought provoking book, Cruci-Fiction?
This book is by no means, meant to offend or disrespect any Christians belief, only to
present the facts as we know them, as given to us by our Holy Book,
The Glorious Qur'an, which is God's word, and The Ultimate authority for the Muslim.
When I was about ten years old, I saw the movie King of Kings, with Jeffrey Hunter
playing Jesus (PBUH). That movie to me was one of the best movies ever made about
the so called life, then crucifixion of Jesus Christ, at ten years old, I cried when they
crucified Jesus, and I was thinking, how could God, who is all powerful, allow this to
happen to one of his beloved Prophets. I do say Prophet because, we in Islam know that
God, begets not, nor is he begotten, he is the Father of the divine spiritual knowledge
Jesus had, that's it, nothing spooky or mysterious.
God is also our father, don't the Christians say “Our Father who art in Heaven?
Back to the movie King of Kings, the story is so dramatic, it sounds like it came right
out of Hollywood, or did it? Very much like Mel Gibsons movie the passion.
The Holy Qur'an, says,
That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of
God;” but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to
them,
and those who differ therein are full of doubts,
with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow,
for of a surety, they killed him not-
(Qur'an Sura 4 verse 157-158)
