As a thinking and rational human being, it is only natural for any one of us to have questions about religion, life and just the complexities of many things that we come across throughout our day. I was raised a Christian, who converted to the Islamic Faith after much thought and consideration. On being a true Christian and Muslim, or Jew, does it mean that we have a lack of faith when we question things? We were given minds to question, to deduce and to draw our own conclusions, from the experiences we have in our lives, and the knowledge we have acquired from the things that we've read, and the things that we experience. It makes you no less of a Christian,if you've ever wondered who so called moved the stone? I believe that many people feel it is a lack of faith to question things, in Islam we are taught that there is no compulsion in religion, that one should continue top learn from the very first moment you begin to read, from the cradle to the grave. I don't believe in a God who wants me to follow blindly, to have a blind faith without using the mind he gave me, by not questioning things, we might not be too clear on. We are not robots, we are not angels, we are flesh and blood human beings who have been given sentiments, affection, intelligence and a mind to think for ourselves.
When I was a young child and I hears this story about how Jesus ( Peace and blessings be upon him ) was crucified and buried in a tomb and it was 2 or 3 days later when his disciples went to the cave where Jesus was supposed to be buried, that something, somehow had rolled the stone back. Now I do believe in miracles, but I have never seen a feat like that in all of my years on this earth. I know that God has power over all things, this type of thinking is very dramatic and makes a great story, but our job, is to not accept these things blindly but to question the validity of these claims and it is to this end, brother and scholar Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, has done a fine job in questioning some of these claim, with intelligent fervor. His aim, our aim is not to offend but rather to make you question the things that you know and feel within your very soul, are questionable.
Much of it, you have a hard time wrapping your mind around, because it sounds like it was crafted by Hollywood, rather than the so called followers of Jesus. Whether we be Muslim, Christina, or Jew, we are brothers in faith and we as Muslims have an obligation to free you from incorrect and misleading dogma, which has enslaved many a mind. There is one thing that I know, without fabrication, and that is, this book is sure to make you think!
